St. Patrick's Day is more than just green beer, shamrocks, and leprechauns. Some historians say the real St. Patrick was kidnapped and sold into slavery in Ireland when he was just 16 years old. He prayed daily for his freedom from captivity. Later in life, after he had gained his freedom, he had a dream from the Lord that he was to return to the land that had previously held him in captivity to share the Gospel.
